i know this is frowned upon but i do this all the time. especially if i had outsourced my mastering to someone else.
this is another reason why i need to eventually move to self-mastering.
but the restriction is somewhat fun and fosters creative problem solving.
and i sometimes love when the master edits lead to like a subtle cutting out, or a subtle shift in a section or a space, a sort of "breaking the 4th (fourth) wall" so to speak ←-this is its own framework. where the audience sort of becomes aware of the medium he/she is listening to? but which ITSELF is part of the experience of the song. existential. where an element makes someone look at the experience as a whole/medium, which itself was a conscious choice OF the experiencr itself.. ref also: space change.
