transcendence of simulation (what real means), philosophy of simulation

Transcendence in simulations

values, meaning, love transcend the idea of simulation. thus what matters most-and what is real stays true across the board- so i needn't worry.

So if someone says simulation or its a software disk (reality), that itself implies comparing it (relative) to something that isn’t that. Like that becomes the baseline then doesn’t it,

Like the feeling of solaris…if generated by some simulation…doesn’t take away. From it. The fact that such a simulation could produce it… and if som algorithm is the base reality, then you can’t say that’s cheapening, cause there’s nothing to compare it to. Im not explaining this wel…

The meaning transcends the simulat

Basically whateee the origin of this life is..you cant compare it to something else since there would be nothing to compare it to, hence the word simulation. Is a red herring. Or a fLLACY

What if at the end we found out it was all a simulation that was designed to harvest your CPU capacity created by a higher, benevolent intelligence (maybe god??)? Would that nullify your love for your sister etc.

When finding the WIFI single for the windows PC, I had initially forgotten where I had kept it. I had to ask myself what I would have done with it- given that we had a suitcase with us...and then it clicked. I knew where I would have kept it and then I remembered it was in the front pocket of the suitcase.

This whole process- of asking myself what I would have done..this whole process of puzzle, navigation, memory, reasoning, etc. is true in any environment, a simulation, a video game, a dream, in reality, in anything.

It’s real whether the environment is real or not. You can still have deduction in a dream or a trick of neurons.

idk if this is a separate essay:

What is the material difference between reality and a simulation of reality? Should it make a difference if this life is a simulation? If it doesn’t, then it seems to nullify the the concept of a simulation in the first place. If it does make a difference, then it isn’t a true simulation is it?

The word simulation is an interesting and misused word to describe our experience in the world (if we are in one). Should living in a simulation truly change anything? The definition of real shouldn’t be derived from objects, but rather from values. Values remain regardless of where you are. The word simulation itself would be the wrong word. Values and experience- regardless of where you are- are real.

that is to say, these are things that transcend ALL worlds. not just simulation levels. so what is real is independent of facts of simulation

Above all else. I guess the most important thing is sincerity. To live life sincerely. Authentically. For that will transcend the crippling existential depression of illusion

Link to essay (is this seperate, or the same as this?) on the philsoophy of illusion, and its implication,s and transcending such implications through authenticity.

thus i believe it to be the wrong question, or a wasted effort, or on a fundamental level, not the deepest pursuit or question, when asking if we’re in a simulation. as what is actually REAL transcends simulation levels,

thus what i seek in this world we live in is what is real in intention, not in things.

re: devs

you cant use determinsm to argue we are in a simulation, because even outside of the simulation the creators of said simulation are still governed by the laws and nature of consciousness. (is there something outside of consciousness? like what is consciousness was one mode of being or existence, and there are others (isnt that cool!) - make an essay on this.

so you can say- existence itself cant HELP but BE a simulation, but that makes no sense semantically.

this is why it isn't obvious to me the simulation in the matrix film was actually bad. the morality around it is a lot more complex than what meets the eye. i actually think it would have been better if everyone was "put asleep" (though i argue that's a derogatory way of thinking about it), - because all the meaning, joy, etc the mothers love of her child ARE ALL REAL DESPITE BEING IN A SIMULATION AND NO MATTER WHAT BASE LEVEL OF REALITY OR SIMULATION ONE IS IN

and thus being a brain a vat is fine. it actually means less than the real was one immediately experiences of love. the intent of it matters more than the "actual".

and it could be argued that the space is being used up more efficiently in the matrix etc. less resources to keep a human alive and just its mind active in a simulation. more efficient. (AH SO IF ITS MORE EFFICIENT ITS BETTER? THUS THIS ENTAIKD THAT REALITY RIGHT JOW MAY BE A SIMULATION OR THAT THE ENDGAME OF REALITY IS THAT OF MOST EFFICIENCY. IS THERE A RETROCAUSAL ELEMENT TO THIS? WE DESIGN THINGS TO BECOME MORE ABD MORE EFFICIENT. THUS WE HAVE TO THINK ABOUT WHAT IS THE MOST WFFICIENT MEANS IF STARTING A UNIVERSE? SO AS WE APPROACH EFFICIENCY WE SRE SCTUALLY GETTING CLOSER TI BEGINNINGS OF THE BIG BANG / THIS UNIVERSE

as such, everything is real. even a movie-what happens in a movie. it is actually real. video game. real
