for both students and teachers—since it's a cyclical existence? not carving at anything deeper? i. specifically mean the act of regurgitation, not necessarily being a guide or opening a space for cultivation, or being a motivator or encourager.

teaching guitar and having students learn it as a hobby never made sense to me. hobbies in general make no sense to me. and if there is a serious student who was on a real path to innovation i don't think she would seek a teacher.

it might be a semantic thing. good teachers go outside of the scope of dispensing facts and knowledge. there is a place for mentorship and guidance.

teaching seems like a self referential, regurgitative, nihilistic endeavor.
